Discovery Networks
Discovery came looking to have three of their channels on air identity's updated. They wanted to update the look of each channel, keeping them unique; while at the same time having them unified under a consitent structure.
Left and right side lower thirds. These include options for sponsors, promo videos and special events that can break the border.
Badges like lower thirds have options for sponsor and streaming cards along with special events that can break the border.
Line ups allow for different line options and video or still. They play off of the badge shapes.
Structure
Starting out we decided it was best to design a consistent structure for all designs to work around. The final structure is a modular one that allows for some variation for different purposes.

The first item we took into account was that each channel had it's own font.
To get a feel for how these would all work we created a block system that all of the designs would work off of. All of the systems function on a multi-page structure that allow for information to have breathing room.
With a structure in place we moved on to designing the final looks and how they would function.
The structure allows for large show specific type, promos and has sponsor tag options.
